OVERVIEW

L-3 Advanced Systems is an aerospace leader in the development of affordable transformational systems and platforms. Through a process refined over the years called the Systems Engineering of COTS, both commercial and military standards, processes and technologies are flowed through a unique systems engineering process to balance customer requirements for affordability, reliability, safety and effectiveness. Platforms from Advanced Systems include: Sea Fighter - the US Navy's first type-classified high speed catamaran; the Affordable Weapon System - a long-range, low-cost cruise missile; Long Gun - a high-endurance, low-cost unmanned air vehicle; and the Affordable Aperture project, which is developing low-cost communications and radar arrays for land, sea and airborne applications.
